In the context of connecting teacher database Claspo to your marketing tools, webhooks allow you to automatically and seamlessly push data from Claspo forms and popups to various marketing platforms such as ESPs (email service providers), CDPs (customer data management platforms), CRMs (customer relationship management systems), and more. This eliminates the need for direct, pre-built integrations between Claspo and each individual marketing tool.
Here’s how it works:
1. Event trigger: An event occurs in Claspo, such as sending a popup.
2. Webhook Notification: Claspo sends the submitted data to a URL in your marketing app via webhook.
3. Data transfer: The receiving marketing tool (e.g. Activepieces, Acumbamail, SendFox, etc.) receives this data and processes it in accordance with its configuration.
Benefits of Using Webhooks
Webhooks provide significant flexibility in connecting Claspo to different marketing tools, even if direct integrations are not available. As your how to create marketing stack evolves or new tools emerge, webhooks allow you to integrate with them without making significant changes to your existing setup. This adaptability ensures that you can continually optimize your tools and processes.

Automation is a big benefit of using webhooks. By setting up webhooks, you can automate the process of transferring data between Claspo and your marketing tools, eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing the time and effort required to manually enter or update information across multiple platforms.
Webhook ensures accurate and consistent data transfer. This is especially important when working with large amounts of data or frequent updates.
Receiving and processing data instantly as it is sent
Real-time updates are a key benefit of webhooks, allowing for instant data synchronization between Claspo and your marketing tools. By receiving and processing real-time data, you ensure that your marketing activities are based on the most up-to-date information.

Start by checking if your marketing tool supports external data input.
Find a section in your marketing platform that deals with API integrations or webhooks . This is usually found in settings or developer tools and indicates the system’s ability to accept and process data from external sources.
Step 2: Create a new Webhook and get the URL to send data to
Get the Webhook URL provided by your marketing app. This is the URL where Claspo will send lead data for processing by the mark how to create eting platform.
For example, the Mailchimp endpoint is: https://<dc>.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/lists/<list_id>/members.
Step 3: Determine authentication requirements (if required)
Some marketing tools may require a token or API key for authentication to send data to this URL. If so, generate and copy this token for use in Claspo.
This may include:
- API Token: A unique key that must be included in your request headers.
- Login Credentials: Username and password or OAuth tokens for authentication.
- Additional parameters: Some services may require additional request parameters or headers for security.
For example, SendFox may require the API token to be included in the request header, while Mailchimp may use the API key appended to the URL or included in the request headers.
Step 4: Set up Webhooks in Claspo
Select the form or popup from which you want to send leads to your marketing platform. In the form/popup settings, in the Integrations step , select Webhooks from the list of available integrations and configure the connection.
Paste the Webhook URL you received from your marketing tool into the Webhook URL field in Claspo.
If your marketing tool requires an API token or any uk data special headers, add them in the Headers section .
Step 5: Set up data format requirements
Each marketing tool has specific data fields and formats that it expects when receiving data. For example, an ESP may require fields such as `email`, `first_name` , or additional fields such as `opt_in_status` or `list_id` to manage the subscriber list.
Define the data fields that Claspo captures from popups, such as `email`, `first_name` , and any custom fields you may have added.
You can map fields as a customized JSON structure . Often, you can use the provided sample JSON format. This structure organizes the data in a more complex format, usually in the form of a JSON object.
For example, if your popup collects a field called `user email`, `full_name` , and your marketing tool expects `email address`, `first_name`, `last_name` , make sure those fields are mapped correctly.
- Match `full_name` with `first_name` and `last_name` in your marketing tool (you may need to split `full_name` into these two fields).
- Match `user email` directly to `email address` .
